What The Hell – Debut Single Of Avril Lavigne’s Fourth Album Released

What The Hell, the new single from Avril Lavigne’s fourth studio album Goodbye Lullaby has been released. On first listen, What The Hell is an infectious, bubblegum, pop-punk song. The track is full of energy, attitude and the boisterous vigor which made Girlfriend so amusing. Filled with chantalong choruses and playful guitar riffs, the bottom line – What The Hell is loads of fun! For one thing it sounds a lot more exciting then her dull, static performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

If this track is to go by, Avril has chosen to carry on with the more bubblegum-pop vibe instead of the darker underscores seen in Under My Skin. Goodbye Lullaby will be released in March and hopefully it’s more exciting then The Best Damn Thing, which was a little bit disappointing. But it would be fair to say the third album was more experimental then anything.
