Best Visual Effect Nominees Now Down To Seven

The finalists for The Academy Award for Best Visual Effects have been simplified once more, from the 15 semifinalists it picked last month now to seven films. Out of these seven, later in the month, only five will receive Oscar nominations.

Here are the following  seven films, that remain in The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences list for Best Visual Effects:

  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
  • Hereafter
  • Inception
  • Iron Man 2
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
  • Tron: Legacy.

Therefore Clash of the Titans, The Last Airbender, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Sorcerer’s ApprenticeUnstoppable, Shutter Island,Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief are no longer in the running, which is reasonable.
